On January 16th Arvada #2278 hosted its 5th annual Veterans Dinner. The dinner was attended by approximately 65 people. Of those in attendance we recognized Veterans who served our country starting as far back as WWII all the way to Afghanistan. We enjoyed two guest speakers that night. Ms Charlene Shields, Director of the Colorado National Guard Family Assistance Program and Lisa Cooley, Coordinator of the Survivor Outreach Program. Both spoke about how the Elks can help the Guard and even how the Guard can help the Elks. It was a great meal. We finished the evening with a group photo of all the Veterans present.
