MEMORIAL DAY is a special time to pay tribute to our dearly departed especially the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. We as Elk members honor our departed members by placing flags at burial sites. Flags were placed at Arvada Cemetery, Mt. Olivet, Crown Hill, Golden, Fairmount, Olinger’s Highland & East Lawn, Chapple Hills and Hampton Memorial gardens. (This year Fort Logon did not allow placing flags.) We had 47 members and family placing 450 flags at these cemeteries Friday and Saturday. THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!
It looks like Olde Town Arvada will be opening up next week to limited business. Since we are in the middle of remodeling, we will not be opening for awhile (we’re hoping to be open by the end of July.) We are still looking for ways to earn the money we have lost during this shut down. What events or activities would you and your family enjoy? (Call or text me at 720-373-4051)
I would also like to hear from any of you who has a concern, question or problem. Elk members are here for you! That is who we are.
