Join the Arvada Elks

Since 1963, the Arvada Elks Lodge has been part of this community, supporting local veterans, funding scholarships for local students, and hosting fundraisers that give back throughout the year. Membership means being part of something bigger than yourself, right here in Arvada.

Most of our members will tell you the same thing: someone asked them. A friend, a coworker, a neighbor who thought they'd fit right in. If you've been curious about joining but nobody's extended the invitation yet, consider this it. Stop by the Lodge, introduce yourself, and see what we're about. Everyone is welcome.

Who's eligible

To join the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 21 years old, and believe in a higher power (however you define that for yourself).

How it works

Membership starts with a sponsor, any Elk in good standing, from any Lodge in the country, can propose you for membership. You'll also need two additional Elks to serve as references. Your sponsor will walk you through the Membership Application, either as a hard copy or an online form.

Once submitted, your application is read aloud at a regular Lodge meeting. Members are given at least 10 days' notice (and no more than two months) before a vote is taken.

After the vote, you'll be notified and invited to indoctrination, where you'll learn more about the Order's programs, history, and charitable work. From there, you're an Elk, free to take part in every meeting and social event the Lodge holds.

If your application isn't approved, you're welcome to reapply after six months.

Dues

• • • A one-time initiation fee of $50.00 is due when you submit your application.
    • Our membership year runs from April 1 to March 31.
    • The 2026-2027 dues are $114.00 per year, which includes the Arvada Elks Lodge dues of $78.00 and State and National assessments of $36.00
    • Lifetime Members' dues are $69.50 per year.
    • Payment is by cash, check or credit card (applicable fees apply)
    • Delinquent members may not use our facilities. Delinquencies lasting beyond March 31st of an Elk year will result in the delinquent members being dropped from membership in the Lodge.
