The Arvada Elks will be hosting its annual Basketball “Hoop Shoot” on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Arvada High School, 7951 W 65th Avenue. The event is free and open to the public for boys and girls in the following age categories: 8-9, 10-11; and 12-13. Contestant’s age group will be determined by their age as of April 1, 2019.
Registration starts at 8:00am with competition starting at 9:45am. Anyone wishing to participate must bring a COPY of of their birth certificate or other proof of age. The copy will be attached to their registration form and will not be returned to the student.
Each contestant will have 25 shots at the hoop. First place winners will continue through four more tiers to reach the National Finals. All participants will receive a souvenir and first place winner will receive a medallion.
